Asus Eee Pad Slider Review:
The Asus Eee Pad Slider was originally planned to be released along with the Asus Transformer in Q1 of 2011. Unfortunately, Asus decided to postpone the released of the Eee Pad Slider to work on technical issues they were having with the product. Now this android tablet is expected to be released in late Q3 to early Q4 in the United States. In this article we are going to review the hardware, software, media, display and build of the Asus Eee Pad Slider.
Build of the Asus Eee Pad Slider
Asus has produced another unique build for the Asus Eee Pad Slider. As you should know, the Asus Transformer has a keyboard dock that can be used for extra battery life and fast typing, essentially turning the Transformer in to a netbook. Asus has taken this idea a step further with the Eee Pad Slider, giving it a slide out keyboard that is idea for typing and navigating around with Android. With the built in keyboard, the Asus Eee Pad Slider does have some bulk with it, measuring in at around 1 inch thick but overall we are happy with the build, which allows for convenient typing.
Here are a few images of the Asus Eee Pad Slider:
Display of the Asus Eee Pad Slider
The display on this android tablet is 10.1 inches. Asus is known for putting very bright and vibrant displays on their tablets, just look at the Asus Transformer. The pixel density is also spectacular, the density is 1280×800 pixels. We are expecting the viewing angles to be above average as well, since brightness is a huge factor in determining whether the viewing angles are quality or not.

Most 10 inch android tablets come equipped with a 1 GHz Tegra2 processor. Fortunately for Asus Eee Pad Slider customers, you are getting a more powerful processor. For ports on this tablet, we have a microSD slot, a full size USB, and a micro HDMI port. This tablet has bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. We know Europe versions of this tablet will have 3G capabilities, but we are not sure about the American version.
Software of the Asus Eee Pad Slider
The Slider runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb. This operating system provides and absolutely wonderful experience for users. This operating system combined with the hardware in the Asus Eee Pad Slider should pack a punch. This tablet also has Adobe 10.1 Flash on board allowing for you to have a full internet browsing experience.
